The heart of this unique residential park is a picturesque Baroque building with a courtyard surrounded by five newly built villas. The enclosed area boasts landscaped greenery, an on-site reception and underground parking. The project is being developed by CRESTYL real estate. The Šárecký dvůr project was the winner of the Best Residential Development & Developer category at the CIJ Awards Czech Republic 2018.
“The concept for the Šárecký dvůr project was developed by our award-winning, international design studio. The overarching statement is a balance of the ‘old and new’ where the original buildings are reinvigorated and sit harmoniously beside the modern interventions. Bold, contemporary modern architecture is the backdrop for the landscape design, created by Šmídová Landscape Architects. The colourful landscaping acts as the glue that ties the scheme together achieving a harmony between the historic and modern elements while taking references from the nearby Džbán water reservoir. Technology plays its part in the overall design of the project creating a 21st century contemporary scheme in this discrete, historical context. Completing the team approach, and adding local knowledge, the interior design of the apartments has been undertaken by Chmelař architekti. The project aims to understand and renew history while adding our own lasting chapter to this great city.”
The unique complex will be a result of a complete renovation of a historic farm yard whose history goes all the way back to 1433. In the 19th century, the premises were home to a popular inn, where the Prague upper classes used to meet during their outings in Divoká Šárka. The magic of times long past still pervades the area.
The Šárecký dvůr complex is located in the Prague quarter of Vokovice, in the vicinity of the Džbán water reservoir and the Divoká Šárka nature reserve.
An original, protected stone wall surrounding the complex and an on-site reception provide privacy and security for the residents. A monumental Baroque gate brings to mind the historical roots of the premises which boast a private park and an underground parking garage.
The Šárka valley is close at hand, while a metro station is only five minutes away.
